2002 Eisner Awards

DC News - ---- Marvel News - ------ Indy News ----- Recent News

Nobody from Ground Zero got to go to the San Diego Comic-Con, but they held it anyway! As usual, the always anticipated Eisner Awards were announced. Four titles won multiple awards: 100 Bullets, Eightball, Dork and Akira.
DC Comics was the biggest winner with seven awards. Dark Horse and Fantagraphics took three each and Marvel took two. Chaos! Comics won no awards, nor was Bill Jemas named in any of the "Best..." catagories. Nor war Frank Miller's highly awaited Dark Knight Strikes Again. Suprisingly, nobody from Wizard gave a speech where a copy of DK2 was destroyed.
