Ground Zero’s “Play and Save” program

Ground Zero Comics held its first gaming tournament almost twenty years ago. Since that time it has provided play space and hosted events on a regular basis. In a continuing effort to encourage local gaming, we are now implementing a new program called “Play and Save”.

The basics of the program work like this:

Any time you participate in a regular gaming event – a tournament, organized demo or regular play night – you will receive a coupon for 10% off your next purchase of that type of game. In other words, when you play in our weekly Friday Night Magic tournament, you will also get a coupon for 10% off your next CCG purchase. Come play with our board game group – get a similar coupon that works on all regularly priced board games. The same applies for any other events, such as those for HeroClix or Warhammer 40,000.

Next, we want to reward those who are willing to put the effort into organizing a gaming event at Ground Zero – so if you organize and run an event with four or more players attending, we’ll up that discount coupon to 25%! There are some restrictions, of course. First, you have to actually participate in the event (yeah, that may seem like a no-brainer, but we thought we’d better get it out there). Second, if you want to run an event, you need to schedule it with us at least two weeks in advance of the date of the event so that we can both get it on our calendar and promote it.  Third – what do we mean by “regularly priced”? A lot of our product is normally priced at a discount – usually 5-10%. Your coupon will take the 10% (or 25%) off that already discounted price. However, some product is offered at special sale prices (full boxes of Magic cards come to mind), and the extra discount cannot be applied on top of  the already special price.

Much like our COMIC CLUB and COMIC SAVER PROGRAM, this is a work in progress and will likely be tweaked as we discover what works and what doesn’t – and we reserve the right to either alter or discontinue it at any time.
