Free Comic Book Day 2003 at
GROUND ZERO!

May 3rd, 2003. The 2nd X-Men movie premiers to anxious crowds, proving that not only will people go to see movies about comic book characters, they'll go back to see sequels. Not to be outdone, the comic industry stages a sequel of its' own with the 2nd Free Comic Book Day. Last year saw a crowd at Ground Zero to snatch up free comics and this year was even bigger!

Fans grapped up comics, promo cards, Hulk HeroClix and other freebie items. They also registered for Movie Passes, Graphic Novels and other cool prizes that were given away.
The Channel 7 News Team came out to film the chaos and Dave talked endlessly about the "art of comics." Ground Zero "employees" walked around with toy walkie-talkies and mumbled about crowd control. All in all it was a great day for everyone!

At the end of the day, eveyone went home happy. Or at least almost everyone!.

So there it is once again: Comic books! Free! The most powerful words in the English language
( after "Kracka-Boom" of course!! )

There's still pics of last years Free Comic Book Day. Click Here to take a look!
