It was close, but with cunning stratagy and superior card play, Phillip Shoemaker pulled out another victory, crushing the opposition with his Blue and Green Control deck. Ryan Angell came in 12th (which nobody can spell) with his Zur's Weirding Prison Combo deck.
Somehow he thought that was noteworthy.

Final standings for the February 19th, 2005 Type II Tournament:
What's that? A four way tie for first place? Could it be that Dave Alger in no longer the doormat to the championship, but now shares in the first ever Four Way First Place Tie at a Ground Zero Magic Tourney?
Hmmmmm.... could be!

Final standings for the February 5th Betrayers Of Kamigawa Sealed Deck Tournament:

Final standings for the December 18th Free For All Tournament:
Christmas may have been in the air, but carnage and merciless pounding were the rule of the day. It was Ground Zero's annual "Free For All", anything goes tourney. Not only were there lots of cool, totally broken decks, but everybody got a prize.
Brody Taylor walked away with the Fifth Dawn Window Cling, Jake Fuller snagged the Urza's Legacy Game Guide, Payton Galvez got the Dark Steel poster, Theresa Mitchell and James Wansley both snagged a set of foil lands and a foil Gaea's Blessing, Jonathan Hopkins carried away the Laminated Champions Of Kamagawa Poster/Map and Ryan Angell drew his own name for the Laminated Players Mat. Most of the petty envy was directed at Dave Alger, who ended up with the Signed and Numbered Ali From Cairo print.
Of course, in the end, it was a virtual three way tie for 1st place, as all the "quick kill" decks ran into perpetual draws.
1. Ryan Angell
1. David Alger, 1. Jonathan Hopkins, 4. Theresa Mitchell, 5. Jake Fuller, 6. James Wansley, 7. Payton Galvez, 8. Brody Taylor
