For centuries the more daring among us has dreamed the impossible. Of all those impossible dreams, none has stood taller than the dream of taking flat cards and turning them into... roundish, ball-like... things!
Sometimes these strange occurrences can happen in the most unexpected places. Certainly such was the case when two Magic players, in fact members of our very own league, accomplished just such a feat! Using nothing more than Magic: The Gathering cards (and crappy, useless Magic cards at that!), they fashioned an object that could only be described as... roundish!
This sphere was composed of more than 205 cards (actual number: 206) placed in such a fashion as to provide the complete illusion of roundness. Now, through the miracle of the internet, we can present the product of their ingenuity. For your viewing pleasure and enlightenment, we present (and for free, we might add!), the result of countless hours of Magic card manipulation:

These people sought no fame in this endeavor. In fact, they asked that they not be mentioned by their real name, so we will just call them: "Phillip" and "Jason".
These are obviously young men with a bright future ahead of them (and perhaps, a bit too much free time on their hands).
Ground Zero salutes these pioneers in the field of innovative uses of common playing cards.
