R.I.P Frazetta |
|
By now many of you have heard that Frank Frazetta passed away this past week.
his immediate name recognition might have faded just a bit in the past decade, as his poor health meant he did little new work. But his influence remains seismic in the field of fantasy art. There are a lot of titans in the field of comic and fantasy art, but I don't think any could even come close the the universal influence that Frank Frazetta had and still has.
the closest comparison might be the Rolling Stones - in that you might not listen to them, but if you listen to rock music, chances are you listen to bands that are directly or indirectly influenced by them.
