Comic Saver Program

For the serious comic collector, Ground Zero offers a Comic Saver Program. If you feel this program is right for you, we would love to add you. You MUST read, initial and sign a hard copy of the saver form in the store, however, we are including a copy of the text here to refer to for your convenience. If you have any questions, we will be glad to answer them next time you visit the store.

QUALIFICATIONS.

  1. The minimum number of titles needed to start a saver is ONE monthly, ongoing title.
  2. ALL COMICS IN YOUR SAVER MUST BE PURCHASED WITHIN 30 DAYS.  Unless you make other arrangements, at 30 Days, you will be sent an invoice via e-mail to purchase what is currently in your pull list. 10 days after the invoice is sent, if no contact has been made, the saver will be cancelled, resulting in cancellation of saver and forfeiture of deposit.  We will be strictly enforcing this rule.  The store’s phone number is 903-566-1185 or you can also send us an e-mail to info@groundzerocomics.com.
  3. A DEPOSIT OF $20.00 will be required to begin your saver.  Your saver will NOT begin until this deposit is placed.  This deposit will be held by Ground Zero Comics and returned to you after your saver is cancelled within terms.  If the terms of the saver are violated, this deposit will not be returned (i.e. you cancel your saver without proper notice, then the deposit will be voided).

WE WILL BEGIN PULLING TITLES FOR SAVER 15 DAYS AFTER YOU TURN IN THIS FORM. 

All comic savers are for Cover A of a title unless otherwise notified in advance.

ADDING/DROPPING TITLES

  1. Once your saver is established, you may add titles to it at any time.  To do this, you must fill out an add/drop form (available at counter).  There is a 25 cent charge to fill out Add Form.  The 25 cent charge is PER form. (There are now 2 separate forms, one to add titles and one to drop them.)  Once a title is added to your list, we will begin pulling it with the NEXT AVAILABLE issue.  Our fill rate is very good, but as we order comics 3 months in advance to their release, there may be instances where we cannot guarantee a book for up to three months.
  2. You may also drop a book from your list at any time (also by filling out a Drop form).
  3. Our Final Order Cutoff is usually 6 weeks ahead of publication, although this can vary in some instances.  THEREFORE WE TYPICALLY NEED AT LEAST 6 WEEKS NOTICE to remove title from your list.
  4. Some titles that we would not normally stock are considered SPECIAL ORDER ONLY titles and will continue to be pulled for your saver until the last ordered issue is received. We will do our best to reduce orders on any titles that allow it. You are responsible for any books already ordered for you.
  5. If a comic title is cancelled or IS NOT PUBLISHED for 8 months, that title will be dropped from your saver. When that title returns, you will need to Re-Add it to your saver.
  6. We will be happy to add a mini-series to your list PRIOR to its publication. We can still add a mini-series after the first issue, however, we CANNOT always guarantee that the next consecutive issue will be available.

SAVER CANCELLATION. 

If your comics are not picked up within 30 days, we will invoice you via e-mail for your titles.  We will then give you 10 days to pay the invoice and ensure your saver continues to be pulled. It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to make certain that the e-mail address we have is both CORRECT and CURRENT. This can be checked at any point with an employee. If the e-mail is bounced or not responded to, we will have no choice but to cancel your saver and the deposit will be forfeit. If you wish, we may be able to reinstate your Saver, but a new deposit will be required. Sorry, no exceptions.

LEAGUE OF COMIC GEEKS. 

Ground Zero now utilizes the League of Comic Geeks service. You can sign up for their website and mobile app for Free (there is a fee for the “Pro Tier”). Using this service you can connect with our store. This will not only allow you to adjust your list via the convenient app with no Add/Drop fee, but you can also request specific variant covers or add additional copies of a particular book. This change MUST be done before the book’s F.O.C., or Final Order Cutoff, date. (Again, usually 6 weeks prior to publication). For convenience, you can search by FOC dates to make specific request (Any changes made to an issue after its FOC date WILL NOT GO INTO EFFECT.)

ORDER CATALOGS. 

We also stock DC Connect, Marvel Previews, and IDW Catalog which can be a good source of information about upcoming series and Graphic Novels and include estimated ship dates (which are occasionally correct). You may get one of these free with purchase of any comic from their respective publishers.
